About Us:
GM Rioux is a family business located in Grand Falls, NB, which has been in the trucking industry for over 40 years. The owner of its entire fleet, GM Rioux maintains and repairs more than 300 pieces of equipment to keep them safe and in perfect condition.
Position Details:
This position is responsible to maintain, inspect, diagnose and repair the company’s fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs regular maintenance inspection to meet regulatory requirements and company standards;
- Repairs problems and deficiencies identified in inspections;
- Diagnoses and repairs failures that cause breakdowns on vehicles;
- Overhauls equipment;
- Outfits new equipment and make them ready for the fleet;
- Performs scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups;
- Advises supervisor on work performed, general vehicle conditions and future repair requirements;
- Installs skirting on new trailers;
- Performs weekly cleaning of shop;
- Follows all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Professional certification and Red Seal certified in Truck and Transport mechanic;
- Truck Driver’s license (an asset).
